Frequently asked questions
- I'm not receiving notifications, what should I do?
- The most common reason is battery optimization. In phone settings, exclude Doza from battery optimization (Android: Settings โ Battery โ Battery usage โ Doza โ Don't optimize; iOS: Settings โ Doza โ Notifications must be allowed + disable Low Power Mode). Also check Profile โ Notifications inside the app.
- On iOS, Doza is missing from the Notification Settings list.
- If you did not say "Allow" during onboarding, iOS does not add the app to the list. Fix: uninstall the app, restart the phone, reinstall, and this time choose "Allow" during onboarding.
- Is my data safe? Is it stored in the cloud?
- Your data stays only on your phone โ nothing is sent to servers, no internet access, no account creation. On Android, Doza does not even request the
INTERNETpermission (you can verify on the Play Store listing). - How do I transfer my data to a new phone?
- Currently manual: install Doza on the new device and re-enter your medication information. This is a deliberate choice โ we prevent OS-level automatic transfer of health data for GDPR/privacy reasons. Backup/sync may be added in future versions.
- How do I delete my account / data?
- Two ways: (1) Inside the app, go to Profile โ bottom of the page โ "Reset data" โ confirm. (2) Uninstall Doza from your phone โ all data is removed.
- I want to add a profile for a family member.
- Profile โ My profiles โ Add new profile. To hold someone else's information on their behalf, you must tick a box confirming that they have authorized you to do so.
- I want to hide medication names for privacy.
- When adding or editing a medication, enable the "Hide name" option. The notification will appear as "Doza is reminding you ยท 1 medication pending" โ the actual medication name will not appear on the banner.
- What is Doza+ premium?
- Coming soon! In v1, all features are free. Doza+ will include extra family profiles, themes and sharing options (a one-time lifetime purchase is planned).
- Bug report / suggestion
- Write to dozaaapp@gmail.com. Including your device model and Doza version helps โ we cannot see what's happening on your device, so details speed up diagnosis.
